The Global Climate and Health Alliance seeks a campaign coordinator to make important contributions to GCHA’s Unmask My City global initiative to reduce air pollution, protect health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

We are seeking a Campaign Coordinator at 60% FTE from date of hire through 30 April 2019 (with the possibility to extend the role dependent on funding and needs of the campaign).

About GCHA: The Global Climate and Health Alliance (GCHA) is a consortium of organizations at the forefront of a growing global movement of health professionals committed to an equitable and sustainable future. Our evidence-based advocacy centers on reducing the adverse health effects of climate change and the systems that produce greenhouse gases; and on maximizing the health benefits of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. We do this through leadership, advocacy, policy, research and engagement.

Unmask My City is a global campaign coordinated by the GCHA and its partners, to support doctors, nurses, public health workers and health organizations mobilizing in cities to protect our health and climate from the effects of air pollution. Launched on World Asthma Day 2017 in 11 cities on five continents, Unmask My City promotes practical solutions and tangible policy change in cities, to drive a clear downward trend in urban air pollution globally by 2030. This will save millions of lives, improve health outcomes for billions of people, and make a major contribution to mitigating climate change. Www.UnmaskMyCity.org.
